International Young Physicists Tournament - Nigeria 

The International Young Physicists Tournament [IYPT] is a team competition and had its origin in Russia. The teams present and defend their possible solutions to 17 complex scientific projects, on which they may have spent months researching both through conducting experiments and theoretically. The presentation takes place before the critical eyes of an international jury.

 All sources of information are permitted: intensive literature research in the World Wide Web, university libraries, interviews with experts at colleges, universities and business. The competition fosters independent learning and research, it helps to acquire competencies as well as the ability to work in a team, and it is an opportunity for reasoning and discussions in English and foreign languages.
 
National Finals hold: February 16 - 20, 2010

Motivated young people from many countries have a chance to meet, so that contacts across borders of countries and even contingents will be made. It is an opportunity to get to know other cultures, to discuss intensively and to exchange information.
